Cervello
Cervello (Brain), a work of extraordinary conceptual density within the One Line Collection, showcases the dialectic between the two cerebral hemispheres. Against a white background marked by a grid-like pattern reminiscent of neuronal connections or a complex digital mapping, the silhouette of a brain is outlined by a continuous and dynamic black line. The left hemisphere is pervaded by cool shades of blue and green, symbolizing logic and calm, while the right hemisphere explodes in pulsing red, recalling passion and creative instinct.
The artwork is enriched by three-dimensional elements that expand its meaning: a series of graphic symbols (question marks, exclamation points, at-signs, and spirals) seem to "exit" the brain via curved lines, representing the uninterrupted flow of thoughts, doubts, and data that characterizes the contemporary era. On the left side, an imposing perforated golden metallic band acts as a "filter" or containment structure, adding a precious textural contrast to the rusted frame. Cervello is a snapshot of the mind's organized chaos, an invitation to reflect on how we perceive, process, and ultimately shape the world through the incessant filter of our intellect.
