The artwork possesses a dark and solemn magnetism. The canvas is entirely covered in a thick layer of absolute black, worked with a nervous gesturality that creates a tormented surface rich in texture. At the center of the composition, engraved or modeled directly into the medium, the overlapping silhouettes of a cross and a circle emerge, recalling the dollar sign or an ancient coin.
