Riciclato
With Riciclato (Recycled), the Destruct Construct collection adds a fundamental piece to its investigation of creative reuse. In this work, Remoi does not just reassemble fragments; he stages a true dance of materials that have lost their original function to acquire a new, vibrant aesthetic value.
Riciclato is a work full of dynamism and chromatic contrasts. Against a dark, deep background, the artist has layered scraps of black fabric, creating a matte and tactile base. Upon this textural "body," drips of fluorescent orange and electric blue enamel explode, running across the canvas like lifeblood, connecting the different elements in a harmonious tangle.
The narrative heart of the work is a small, square illustration with a pop and geometric feel, depicting an interior with a checkered floor—as if to insert an element of rational order into the chaos of deconstruction. The frame is a masterpiece of industrial craftsmanship: raw metal plates shaped with wavy and sinuous forms that seem to almost "embrace" the canvas. In Riciclato, the act of destroying to then reconstruct becomes a hymn to the sustainability of art, where waste is never a destination, but a raw material brimming with potential.
