Ripreso
With Ripreso (Recovered/Resumed), Remoi takes the Destruct Construct collection toward a more analytical and almost scientific dimension. While other works in the series were dominated by the chaos of torn material, here we witness a sort of "anatomy of time" and precision.
Ripreso stands out for its balance between geometric abstraction and real objects. Against a pale, almost ethereal yellow background, Remoi traces a grid of thin horizontal and vertical lines in shades of green and pink, evoking the aesthetics of an architectural project or a technical diagram.
The central element of the composition is the recovery of internal clock mechanisms, embedded directly into the canvas surface through circular holes that reveal the darkness beneath. Gears, hands, and small pins are scattered across the work as if they had been "recovered" from a dismantling process and recatalogued into a new aesthetic order. The brushed iron frame, with its metallic reflections and visible welds, encloses the work with an industrial rigor that emphasizes the theme of mechanical salvage. Ripreso is not just a painting, but a visual archive of what was stopped and then reactivated by Remoi’s hand.
