Sbronza

Sbronza (Drunk) takes the One Color Collection into an exploration of sensory alteration through the blinding, saturated power of yellow. In this piece, the monochrome is not just a chromatic boundary but a visual representation of that luminous, confused vertigo that accompanies excess.

The artwork is an explosion of chromatic energy that overwhelms the viewer. The canvas is saturated with a vibrant, acid yellow, applied with a dense, almost viscous materiality that appears to still be in motion. The surface is irregular, marked by reliefs and drips that create a chaotic web of light and shadow, evoking the loss of clarity typical of intoxication.

Unlike other works in the series, figuration almost entirely disappears to make room for pure sensation. However, within the tangle of the medium, subtle traces of emerald green can be perceived, like flashes of lucidity piercing a blurred mind. The frame, in golden steel or brushed brass, acts as a precious yet rigid perimeter, attempting to contain the color's exuberance. Sbronza does not describe the act of drinking but captures its psychedelic essence and the distortion of reality, transforming a moment of surrender into a textural celebration of light.
