Linea Cascade
With the work Linea Cascade (Cascade Line), the artist Remoi inaugurates his new collection titled Pulcinella, a project deeply inspired by the chromatic dualism of the famous Neapolitan mask. In this series, the artist strips the canvas of all color to focus on the essence of black and white, symbols of light and shadow, naivety and mischief.
The composition is structured with a geometric rigor reminiscent of previous collections: two wide lateral bands of deep, textural black frame a central luminous white column. In the center of the canvas, the "motif" unfolds like a waterfall of marks: a sinuous and irregular line that vertically traverses the white space, accompanied by gray shading that accentuates its movement.
The beating heart of the work is the raised black and white filament—Remoi's signature style—which follows the path of the central line, creating a tactile and three-dimensional contrast. On the lateral black bands, small white zig-zag marks and vertical strokes seem to float like fragments of energy breaking the darkness of the background. Linea Cascade is a work of great balance and elegance, capable of evoking the soul of Pulcinella through an abstract and contemporary language of extraordinary visual power.
