Scassaudio
Scassaudio does not merely represent the concept of sound—it generates it. The integration of a fully functional radio within its textural structure transforms the canvas into a post-industrial multimedia device. The artist invites the viewer to go beyond observing and take action: to turn the knobs, tune the frequencies, and choose the noise or music that emanates from the body of the artwork.
The two speakers become the voice of the canvas, while the exposed copper wires are not simple decorations but the active nervous system of the piece. In Scassaudio, the destruction of the former work has given birth to an electronic organism that inhabits the present, merging the visual chaos of abstraction with the immediate reality of radio frequency. It is a work that occupies space through color, matter, and, ultimately, its own voice.
